Bonny Scotland is set to see the amount of visitors to the country soar this summer as more Britons choose to take their main family holiday within these shores, rather than jet off to the sun.

The Camping and Caravanning Club has noted that demand for camping holidays in Scotland has shot up by 40% on the previous year and although camp sites throughout the rest of the UK are also showing increased demand, the uptake for Scottish bookings is rising faster than anywhere else in the British Isles.

Hotel bookings are also on the increase as more people decide to venture north for their summer holiday rather than jet off to foreign shores. Renowned for its stunning countryside and coastline, Scotland also features two of Britain’s largest towns in Glasgow and Edinburgh; both packed with numerous attractions for young and old.

In addition, there's the glorious Cairngorms National Park which offers some of the most outstanding scenery, excellent walks and even mountaineering for the adventurous and lovers of the outdoor; plus, the Highlands and a host of other attractions too numerous to mention.

Marshall is the home of the American Museum of Magic. Illusionists such as David Copperfield, David Blaine, Harry Houdini and other are mesmerizing.

You have to make an appointment to visit the American Museum of Magic in Marshall, Michigan. That is what the sign says on the front door.  Tours are given by appointment only. The museum contains over one million pieces of memorabilia collected by Mr. Lund before his death. Many of the memorabilia center around Harry Houdini, but other illusionists are also presented. The museum contains many posters. The museum had been opened only to magicians. Now it is open to the general public, by appointment only.

Do not be surprised if no one shows up for your appointment. Mrs. Lund operates the museum.  Her not showing up for the appointment is highly unusual, according to the proprietor of the coffee shop next door. She is seventy-five years old. We asked the coffee shop owner to see if someone could make a drive by of her home.

Take a quiet drive around the city.  Marshall, Michigan is known for many stately mansions, including the Honolulu House and the Governor to be House.   Presently the home of the Marshal Historical society, the "Honolulu House." was built by Abner Pratt in 1860. He was chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, 1853-1857, and United States Council to Hawaii (1857-1859) under President James Buchanan.     The house is a copy of a house in Honolulu, Hawaii, which Abner Pratt enjoyed.

The Governor to be House was built because Marshall had been considered to be in the running to become the state capital.  It lost out to Lansing.  The house presently is the headquarters of the Mary Marshall Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Before leaving Kawakawa we spent a good lunch just across the road from the Hundertwasser and the food were really delicious I mean It looked a lot like a coffee shop and It wasn't on my expectation that they'd serve foods that well. I couldn't say anything against the staff, they accommodate their diners well and it seems they have loyal customers or perhaps they get used to tourist visiting the Hundertwasser.

Kawakawa is 16 kms to Paihia we follow SH11 to Paihia the gateway to the Bay of Islands as it is a home of 144 spectacular islands of the Bay. You can imagine a place surrounded by tourist and vacationers.  You will never run out of activities in Paihia there are golf courses but it wasn't that interesting for us to do since we were more about the bay itself. There are plenty of accommodations from backpackers to family renters, but we were up to look for campgrounds for our motorhome and we got a good one along Puketona Road. Paihia was a great place after our beach buffets all the way from Warkworth. We went kayaking up the Waitangi River to Haruru Falls and it turned out so fun and really an awesome  experience we were kind of soaked because of the crazy things we did while kayaking. We spent the rest of the day walking through the bays and the taking advantage of the smell of the mangroves greeting us along the way as we would not be smelling it back home in Australia.

We began the next day with a short cruise on the Bay of Islands and plenty of speedy boats are boarded with tourist exploring the bay too. Passing on the hole of the rock was nice it wasn't that thrilling though because rode a medium sized speed boat. It was more joyful to see dolphins, plenty of dolphins I could have stretched my had to touch them if we had a smaller boat. There are several remote islands on the bay that I wished to explore the rest behind its golden sand and calm trees.
