How do you adjust power settings of a laptop? / Battery questions?
In particular, the dimmed screen effect when it's not plugged. I adjusted it before but I now would like to have the bright screen.
And by the way, can batteries have an intermittent power supply even though they're plugged? I didn't notice it before, but now that my sceen dims when the laptop is not receiving energy charge, I have grown more conscious of the batt. I am kinda worried since my adaptor got broken so I replaced it with a universal adaptor and I don't know if the intermittent charging is caused by incompatibility.
You should really get the right power adapter for your laptop. Even for example it was the right voltage lets say 14.5 V the amperage could be way off. Too low, it won't charge and too high it could fry your system.
Check Ebay and buy from a reputable seller.
Windows has its own power profiles and laptop makers have special software specific to the technology your computer has.
