You need to see how much you are going to be walking around with the bags and if you have a wheeled bag, then you can prop your other bags on it and carry your entire luggage with ease when on the move a lot. Larger rubber wheels like on inline skates are better when you want good durable wheels on the bag. Check that the wheels of the bag are well made so as to be easy to turn and push around before you buy. Also check that the handle is of a comfortable length to allow you to wheel it about easily when you are in transit. Having back straps for support will also make your luggage more comfortable to carry. You can also opt for some spacious and lightweight models form good brands.

Hard or soft side models

Choosing between hard side models and soft side ones is another step. Sometimes soft bags can expand much more and give you more in terms of interior space in luggage sets. You might want to choose your bag based on whether you plan to use it for long trips or the short impromptu ones. Soft bags would be easier to use for carry bags. Hard lined bags are durable but more suited to being checked in. Picking unique colors or designs will also make it easier to spot and you could also stick labels on it to make sure it doesn't go missing and that people know where to contact. Go for good quality soft bags though or it will tear easily. In hard luggage sets you may want to check that the weight is not too much to carry around.

Other additional features

Another feature to look out for is based on how you pack and what your travel needs are. When you look at luggage sets also look at the interior, the lining and the pockets. If you are a super systematic kind of person you will want to choose ones that have enough pockets. You could also look for additional features like waterproof packet or compartment for the shampoo bottles that may leak or any such items. If the bag has a clip that is detachable you can hook up a smaller one and manage luggage better as well.

Out of these pieces of luggage, what one's the prettiest? (pictures included)?

I like all of them but I'll have to go with #2 because it's very similar to mine. Going with a black background is better because any marks made by the airline luggage machines won't be obvious. I love my luggage because I never have any problem picking it out on the conveyer belt!!
